Pattern uses a series of algorithms to identify and assign dates to specific findings in medical records. This is a complex operation that depends on the structure and content of the medical records (such as narrative text, text organized by sections, or table-like data). While we improve the accuracy of dates every quarter, you will encounter dates that need to be validated and updated before pinning them to Case Profile.
On the Review page, lens cards show you the date assigned to the finding. Pattern has determined that this is most likely the date that belongs to the finding. In most cases, the first findings that you see on the Review page will include the outlier dates that could require edits.
