Purpose
Pattern's Review page allows you to efficiently examine and confirm evidence in medical records. The review page is composed of two components:
1. Summary Cards: A scroll-through interface for navigating findings.
2. Document Viewer: Shows the full page of the selected summary card with criteria findings highlighted.
To navigate through review, scroll through the summary cards.
How to Get There
The Review Page is available in every case. You can navigate to it by selecting the "Review" tab in the top left of the profile.
Filtering Findings
To filter your hits, select the filter icon upon navigating to Review:
When selected, the review filter menu looks like this:
Use the filter menu to sort by:
- Record Type (Family History, Authorization Forms, Current Medications, Patient History, Radiology Reports, Pathology Reports, and more)
- Date
- Record type
- Document
- Smart Filters (Claimant, Family)
Additional filters may be present in certain litigations (e.g. a filter for cancer stage may be present in litigations where cancers are the primary injury). By default, all results are shown. To update the filters on the page, select the options you want in the filter menu, then click "Go" in the bottom right of the menu.
Family History Context Filter
In addition to the standard filters, there is also an option to filter by family history context.
Selecting these checkboxes will include/exclude results based on whether or not Pattern has detected the finding as a family history piece of information. This is helpful when looking for information like family history of cancer, or when a case has a family history of a condition that needs to be filtered out in order to find the condition for the patient. By default, these filters will be turned off except for family history profile questions.
Summary Cards
Summary cards are the main vehicle to navigate through review findings. As you scroll through, the counter in the filter bar will inform you which finding you are viewing within the current filter(s).
Selecting a card will pull the full page for that card into the right-hand Document Viewer. Inside the card, there are several sections which contain information about the finding, such as Record Type, the document's date, the excerpt containing the finding, and the finding itself.
When selected, a card can be "Pinned to Profile" (which is covered in more detail in the Profile article) or dismissed if it is not relevant.
Document Viewer
The document viewer makes confirming findings from excerpts quick and efficient. The document reviewer has a few controls to navigate:
- Zoom
- Show all Lens Hits
- Pin to Profile (note: this tool will not highlight any text on the page, it will simply pin the entire page to the desired response).
- Download
By default, the zoom is automatically set based on the page size. You can manually zoom in, out, or reset the zoom with the zoom controls.
The page controls let you navigate forwards and backwards within the document without scrolling through or selecting a new summary card. This is useful if the finding is at the very beginning or end of a page, and additional context may be on the next page. Use can also use the left and right arrow keys to quickly page through the document.
There is also a link to download the current document in the top right of the document viewer.
